We are owned by and affiliated with the NHL's New Jersey Devils and are also affiliated with the Lowell Devils of the American Hockey Leauge. Twenty-three of the ECHL’s 25 teams are currently affiliated with an NHL club.
If I buy a ticket to the 100 level, why can't I go upstairs to the Suite/Club concourse to eat?
The Suite/Club concourse is an exclusive concourse for those who purchase a seat on that level. Access to that level is thus restricted.
Additionally, we are limited by the number of people that can be on the concourse--due to fire regulations. This is why we are not able to allow fans to freely go upstairs and downstairs.
We've gotten a large number of inquiries on this matter in the last few months--enough so that we will be exploring options to have similar food offerings on the main concourse as well beginning next season.
I've been to other arenas where fans can ride on the Zamboni--why don't the Devils offer that?
Both the Devils' Zambonis at Sovereign Bank Arena run on propane, as opposed to gas. The propane tanks sit in the location where you might normally find a passenger at some other arenas.
Incidentally, insurance regulations stipulate that for a Zamboni to have a passenger, there must be both a fixed seat, along with a seatbelt. On our Zambonis, there simply isn't room for either.
