Scorch's History
The legend of the infamous "Jersey Devil" has fascinated residents since the early 1700's. In the 90's, Northern New Jersey received numerous reports of a large "Red" figure wearing a hockey jersey that later revealed himself as the "Jersey Devil."

The Jersey Devil, however, was not the only figure lurking around the state, as another mysterious creature had recently been spotted near Trenton's Sovereign Bank Arena as well as other historic spots. Some described the figure as a younger-looking "Devil" dressed in a hockey jersey and hockey pants. Others claimed he approached them holding a Trenton Devils game schedule in his hand pointing to October 19, 2007, the Trenton Devils 2007-2008 Home Opener.

On October 16, 2007, the figure revealed himself to the public for the first time as "Scorch," not only the new mascot of the Trenton Devils, but also their number one fan!
